Adoption Board
The Adoption Board is responsible for registering and supervising the Registered Adoption Societies and for maintaining the Adoption Societies Register. The Adoption Board is also responsible for granting declarations of eligibility and suitability to prospective adopters in advance of their adopting abroad and for maintaining the Register of Foreign Adoptions in which details of inter-country adoptions are entered.

Centre for Early Childhood Development and Education (CECDE)
The aim of the CECDE is to develop and co-ordinate early childhood education in pursuance of the objectives of the White Paper 'Ready to Learn' and to advise the Department of Education and Science on policy issues in this area.
