General Guidelines

  • Avoid Drink Driving
  • Eat before and while you drink
  • Be careful if taking medication
  • Pace your drinks – one drink per hour
  • S-p-r-e-a-d your limits – Have some alcohol free days
  • Avoid getting drunk!

Tips for Drinking Slower

  • One drink per hour
  • Try alcohol free drinks
  • Smaller drinks: a glass instead of a pint.
  • Alternate every alcoholic drinks with an non alcoholic one
  • Leave your glass down between sips
  • Eat before & while you drink
  • Occupy yourself. Play darts, bingo, dance & chat
  • Use standard measure at home when measuring drinks
