Services to Older People in the North East

Carers Support Groups

At present Cavan Monaghan Services to Older People in conjunction with Newry and Mourne Carers Association and FAS have established a Carers Support Services in the Cavan Monaghan Community Care Area. This Cross Border project will meet groups and individual carers to assess needs and to allow theme to articulate solutions and work with them to develop support structures.

A Carers Support Group takes place in St. Oliver Plunkett’s Hospital Dundalk for families/carers of people with Alzheimer disease/dementia. This is run in conjunction with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Tel St. Oliver Plunkett Hospital 041 9334488

There is a Carers Support Group in Boyne View House Drogheda which is available to those resident in Boyne View House. Tel 041 9837495
