| Physiotherapy(Community)
The Community Physiotherapy service aims to empower and educate
clients (as well as the wider population and other disciplines)to
reach their maximum physical movement potential, supporting them
to achieve their individual goals and live as independently as possible
in society. Following assessment and diagnosis the physiotherapist
plans a course of treatment to suit the patients needs. Treatment
will include any of some of the following: Exercise, Mobilisation
of joints, Electrotherapy, Education and Advice for patients and
their relatives on their condition. Aids and devices are provided
where required to assist in the reduction of impairment. In general
patients are seen as in-patients and in out-patient clinics but
in some cases home visits can be arranged.
