"I won't get addicted!" Do you really believe that

"Teenagers who smoke one or more cigarettes a day show evidence of addiction similar to that seen in addicted smokers. Addiction to nicotine is usually established in young smokers within a year of first experimenting with cigarettes."
Royal College of Physicians of London.

If you wish to give up smoking try to take things a day at a time, it is addictive and there are some after effects. Don't punish yourself if things go wrong and you have a cigarette, this will only make you unhappy and make you want to smoke more. Put things behind you and try again.

Remember that you can do it! There are many ways that people try to stop smoking and these include hypnotism and acupuncture. If you do want to give up you can consult with your doctor for extra support.
